$20.90 shift differential increase every 6 months, up to $26.62

Sun-Thu 5:00p p.m. - 1:30 am or finished, up to 2 hours/day OT

SUMMARY:

Responsible for receiving, stocking, preparing, and shipping merchandise to customers in local and outlying areas. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

The ideal Candidate will have the ability to operate forklift/pallet jack and cherry picker; ability to lift 40-60 pounds repeatedly each shift, ability to bend, stoop, climb, stand and twist for extended periods of time; ability to successfully complete forklift training/certification requirements; and ability to operate a Radio Frequency (RF) or Voice Pick devices. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Accurately select/pick merchandise from the assigned slot and confirm the correct quantity and unit of measure. 
• Load Merchandise into the appropriate truck. 
• Drop merchandise for "reserve" to "pick" slots. 
• Prepare VIA merchandise for shipment on freight lines. 
• Repack loose merchandise for shipping/delivery. 
• Verify the quality of the product, packaging, and adherence to vendor compliance policy. 
• Accurately adhere to Warehouse Labor Standard, “Preferred Method Standard”. 
• Identify and report slot and put-away problems. 
• Shrink wrap merchandise/pallets after picking as needed. 
• Performs housekeeping duties as assigned. 
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

• Preferred qualifications are: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Previous knowledge of SAP, one year of warehouse experience, and previous forklift certification. 

Experience:

• 6 months of previous warehouse experience and/or training preferred. 
• Material handling equipment experience preferred. 
• Reach truck experience is a plus. 

Requirement: 

• Must be at least 18 years of age. 
• Must pass a functional capacity test. 

Work Environment:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those associated with encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. 

• The job is performed in a warehouse/operations environment. 
• Frequently exposed to fast-moving material handling equipment or other mechanical equipment.
• This is a full-time position. 
• Must have the ability to work a varying schedule, which might include shift work (days or nights), weekdays or weekends, and some holidays. 
• Work hours may vary or change based on customer orders, departmental, or business requirements. The position does not require travel.
