Job Title: Travel Sterile Processing Coordinator
Location: Long Beach, CA 90805
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 2nd Shift | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Travel Rate: $1,477.50/week
Job Summary:
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking Travel Sterile Processing Coordinator for an exciting job in Long Beach, CA.
Responsibilities:
Supervise, schedule, and support sterile processing department (SPD) staff to ensure workflow coverage.
Monitor instrument decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and distribution processes.
Ensure compliance with ANSI/AAMI standards, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and infection control protocols.
Conduct quality audits and maintain accurate documentation.
Train, mentor, and support staff development initiatives.
Manage equipment maintenance and coordinate with other departments to ensure instrument availability.
Promote safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Assist with inventory management and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of experience in sterile processing, including 2+ years in a leadership role.
Strong knowledge of sterilization standards, OSHA regulations, and infection control practices.
Ability to multitask and work independently in fast-paced environments.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and timekeeping systems.
CRCST certification required; CIS or healthcare leadership certifications preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree or relevant leadership experience preferred.
