Job Summary:

Assist in application of principles methods and techniques of surveying and mapping. Survey CAD Technician will be responsible for creating detailed survey drawings and maps using AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Essential Duties:

• Performs surveying and mapping work involving measuring and recording data on land buildings or construction projects; processing field survey data and creating maps using computer aided design software.
• Ability to research property records read and interpret survey maps and produce sketches maps and graphic representations as directed by Supervisor.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills and excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Qualifications:

• Associates degree (A.S.) in Drafting Engineering Technology or related field preferred but not required; equivalent work experience will be considered.
• Basic or advanced knowledge of surveying and mapping principles techniques and procedures; algebra geometry and trigonometry.
• Experience in computer aided drafting applications with formal training in AutoCAD Civil 3D considered a plus.
• Honest Dependable Thorough and a Strong Work Ethic
• Applicants will need to take a short CAD test to evaluate their level of knowledge in CAD.
