Position: Staff Accountant

Compensation: $70,000 - $75,000 per year, based on experience
The Staff Accountant supports the Accounting and Finance team by performing daily and monthly accounting activities, preparing reconciliations, assisting with journal entries, and ensuring accuracy of financial data. This role operates in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment and works closely with senior accounting staff and the Corporate Controller. The position also assists with reporting, internal controls, audit preparation, and tax-related documentation.
2. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Month-End Close and General Accounting Perform balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations
Research and resolve reconciliation variances under guidance from senior staff
Assist with preparing journal entries for prepaids, accruals, inventory, and depreciation uploads
Assist with intercompany receivable and payable reconciliations
Record banking activity and assist with monthly bank reconciliations
Reconcile corporate credit card activity and ensure accurate general ledger coding
Support fixed asset documentation and processing of additions
Prepare recurring internal accounting reports
Assist in documenting accounting procedures and maintaining internal controls
Support annual audit preparation by gathering schedules and documentation
Assist with preparing sales and use tax reports
Provide general accounting assistance and perform additional duties as assigned
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience
One to three years of accounting experience, including internships or entry-level roles
Experience preparing account reconciliations
Basic understanding of GAAP and standard accounting practices
Proficiency with Excel, including formulas and basic Pivot Tables
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Positive and adaptable attitude with a willingness to learn
Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer
Ability to lift up to 10 pounds as needed for files or materials
