Security Officer

Job Description:
System One is partnering with a client seeking a Security Officer who will play an integral role in creating peace of mind by protecting company assets, minimizing risk, and ensuring overall safety and security.

This is not a typical “security guard” role confined to a static post with limited interaction. Instead, this position offers a highly engaging environment where your presence and responsiveness are key. You will be trained to:

• Provide and maintain a safe working environment for employees, contractors, and visitors.

• Actively monitor and respond to potential threats against the company.

• Serve as a first responder in emergency situations, both individually and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the safety and security of company property, personnel, and visitors.

• Actively patrol and monitor facilities to detect and deter potential risks.

• Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies.

• Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies during incidents.

• Provide customer service-oriented support while enforcing company security policies.

• Document and report security activities, incidents, and irregularities.

Qualifications & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• 2+ years of experience in a security function and/or completion of Security Training/Certification (Guard Card); OR 4+ years of equivalent, relevant work experience.

• Strong situational awareness and ability to remain calm under pressure.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently
