School Social Worker – 2025–2026 School Year – In‑Person

Position Details

• Start Date: ASAP
• Schedule: Part-time (1-2 days a week)
• Location: In-person (Illinois)
• Setting: Elementary school, single-building caseloads
• Caseload & building assignments: Discussed during interview
• Bilingual candidates strongly encouraged to apply

Your Key Responsibilities

• Provide IEP counseling services and social-emotional support
• Attend and participate in IEP meetings
• Complete IEP documentation and progress reports
• Collaborate with school-based special education teams
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Engage with families and community-based supports when appropriate
• Participate in staff meetings and contribute to a collaborative school culture

What We’re Looking For

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW)
• Professional Educator License (PEL)with a School Social Worker endorsement
• Experience in schools or special education is a plus
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a major asset but not required
• Passion for inclusive, student-centered support and school collaboration
