The Role You'll Contribute Performs Radiology clerical functions, including scheduling, order entry, filing and report printing sorting and distribution. Greets patients at Radiology reception desk, explaining exam preparation procedures and completion of appropriate history or other forms as needed. Reviews patient orders and contacts physicians offices as needed to clarify orders or scheduling and to relay reports as needed. Coordinates with technical staff as needed regarding patient status, delays and scheduling issues. Answers telephones, transfers calls and relays messages as needed. Voice must be pleasant in face-to-face and telephone conversations. Performs records release of Radiology films, Creates CDs and reports. Minimum Qualifications The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed: - High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One-year medical office experience desirable
- Knowledge of medical terminology
Preferred Qualifications - Radiology experience preferred.
