Job Description:Key Responsibilities:
Lead music during weekly Protestant worship services and rehearsals.
Direct volunteer choir and/or praise team as needed.
Coordinate song selection with the assigned Chaplain at least four days prior to each service.
Support up to 52 worship services, 52 rehearsals, and 12 additional events per year (e.g., holiday services, funerals).
Maintain and return all musical materials and ensure the performance area is left in order.
Arrive at least 30 minutes before each scheduled service and rehearsal.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience in Protestant worship music leadership.
Ability to sight-read and perform traditional, liturgical, and contemporary music.
Proficiency in piano and/or guitar and vocal leadership.
Knowledge of choral and instrumental harmony.
Understanding of Protestant traditions, customs, and worship structure.
Professional demeanor and collaborative attitude when working with chaplaincy staff and volunteers.
Schedule:
Worship services are currently held Sundays at 11:00 AM CST.
Rehearsals are typically Thursdays at 6:00 PM CST (may vary based on volunteer availability).
