As an official VR DME provider, XRHealth enables patients to receive prescribed VR therapy devices covered by insurance, including through the VA and other major payers. Our team works with both clinical partners and patients to ensure the technology is easy to use, effective, and accessible at home.
Role Overview XRHealth is seeking a Florida-certified Peer Support Specialist to provide one-on-one and group peer support to individuals navigating mental health and recovery-related challenges. This role will work closely with clinicians as part of an integrated care team, supporting patients through engagement, goal-setting, illness navigation, and ongoing recovery support in a virtual care environment.
This is a remote, part-time position with the opportunity to grow into a full-time role as the program expands.
Key Responsibilities - Provide individual peer-to-peer support sessions aligned with clinician-established care plans
- Facilitate peer support groups in a virtual setting
- Support patients with illness navigation, including engagement, motivation, and adherence
- Collaborate closely with nurse practitioners, therapists, and care team members as part of a larger treatment plan
- Document peer support encounters clearly and accurately in accordance with program and compliance requirements
- Maintain professional boundaries, confidentiality, and ethical standards consistent with Florida peer certification guidelines
- Participate in team meetings, trainings, and supervision as required
Required Qualifications - Active Certified Recovery Peer Specialist (CRPS) in the state of Florida (required)
- 2+ years of experience providing one-on-one and group peer support
- Lived experience related to mental health and/or recovery
- Prior experience working in a healthcare setting and collaborating closely with licensed clinicians as part of a treatment team
- Strong communication skills and comfort engaging patients virtually
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while staying connected to a multidisciplinary team
- Experience supporting patients through behavior change, engagement, and care coordination
- Comfort using digital tools, telehealth platforms, and electronic documentation systems
Preferred Qualifications - Experience working in a startup or fast-paced environment
- Previous experience working with VR, digital therapeutics, or other innovative healthcare technologies, or strong interest and comfort learning emerging technologies used in patient care

Location: Remote (Florida based)
Type: Part-time (with potential to transition to full-time)
Compensation: $20–$25/hour
