State Fund has a position available for an Oracle DBA at our Vacaville Information Technology location. As an Oracle DBA you will be tasked to support the Oracle database(DB), Oracle Application Server and E-business Suite (AS) and their entire life cycle environments.
New to state candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of the alternate salary range when applicable. Placement to an alternate salary range may be based on education or experience identified in your state application.

The tasks for the Oracle DBA include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Support of the Oracle database(DB), Oracle Application Server and E-business Suite (AS) and their entire lifecycle environments, including daily operations, backup and recovery, performance tuning and app code pushes for mission critical applications in the company, encompassing State Fund's Electronic Claims Files (ECF), ECF Payments (E-Business Suite) , ECF related claims databases, Oracle Application servers and related systems.
• Production support of State Fund's Oracle database, ECF Payments and related claims databases and Oracle Application Servers issues including after hours on-call support.
• Production support of non-ECF Oracle databases.
• Work with Oracle Support to resolve issues on the DB, AS and E-Business and Oracle tools used by the development teams.
• Utilize Oracle Designer, Oracle Developer, Oracle APEX and other tools to create, modify and deploy code changes.
• Develop and implement Oracle Stored Procedure verification tools that assist developers in troubleshooting and performance improvement
• Develop and implement procedures for the synchronization between different environments.
• Develop and implement proactive tools for Oracle environments (such as lock escalation report).
• Provide advice/recommendations on Application architecture, design and implementation.
• Evaluate new products, develop procedures for installation and maintenance of Oracle Databases, Application Server/LDAP, E-Business Suite on Unix servers, and OEM Grid Control on Linux.
• Assist development team in review/troubleshoot SQL and pl/sql
