We are seeking a highly skilled and licensed Millwright Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance operations in our client's plastic manufacturing facility in GTA, ON region.
Shift - Days
Pay - $40- $42/hr
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the maintenance team.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plastic manufacturing machinery and related equipment.
Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical issues in production equipment.
Oversee installation, setup, and alignment of plastic molding and extrusion machines.
Maintain records of maintenance schedules, repairs, and spare parts inventory.
Ensure compliance with health & safety standards, lockout/tagout, and company policies.
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to minimize machine downtime and improve efficiency.
Train and mentor apprentices or junior maintenance staff.
Develop and implement predictive and preventive maintenance programs.
Liaise with vendors, contractors, and suppliers for equipment parts and services.
Qualifications:
Valid 433A Industrial Millwright License.
Minimum 5+ years of millwright experience , with at least 2+ years in a supervisory role .
Strong background in plastic processing machinery maintenance (injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, etc.).
Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems ; basic electrical troubleshooting is an asset.
Experience with CMMS systems and maintenance scheduling.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
