**About Us** **Job Summary** EMCOR Government Services has an immediate need for a licensed Electrician in Washington, DC. This position is covered by the CBA for Local 99. Under general supervision the Electrician will perform journeyman-level work in the design, installation, construction, modification, repair and maintenance of electrical apparatuses, equipment and systems. **Essential Duties & Responsibilities** + Inspect, isolate, troubleshoot and repair electrical malfunctions using various test instruments + Test electrical equipment for safety and efficiency + Plan the layout and wiring of new or remodeled installations + Fabricate electrical parts + Inspect completed work for conformance with specifications, requirements and compliance with applicable building and safety codes and regulations; inspect related work performed by contractors + Estimate cost, time and materials for electrical projects + Participate in the maintenance and operations of an electrical shop + Clean, maintain and service tools and equipment used in the performance of duties **Qualifications** + Must have a Journeyman Electrician or higher License + 3 years of experience as an Electrician in a commercial or industrial setting + Must have or be able to obtain a security clearance \#EGS \#LI-NS1 **Equal Opportunity Employer** As a leading provider of mechanical and electrical construction, facilities services, and energy infrastructure, we offer employees a competitive salary and benefits package and we are always looking for individuals with the talent and skills required to contribute to our continued growth and success.
