We are seeking a Junior Data Collection Engineer to join our trinamiX brand group within the BASF team, located in Austin, TX.

As a Junior Data Collection Engineer you will operate prototype systems to record video data, organize and coordinate a diverse group of models for data collection, and follow instructions from data scientists to ensure the required data is gathered and passed back for analysis.

As a Junior Data Collection Engineer, you create chemistry by...

• Supporting neural network training by recording video data using prototype sensor systems.
• Organizing and inviting a diverse group of participants for recordings, including people and masks.
• Following instructions from data scientists and ensure consistency and quality in all data collected.
• Collaborating internally across teams, especially with System Test and Data Science.

If you...

• High school diploma required; technical education or bachelor’s degree preferred (fields such as data science, computer science, or electrical engineering).
• Experience with Python or Linux preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
• Good English required; Spanish language skills are a nice-to-have.
