**Responsibilities** **POSITION SUMMARY:** The Nursing Assistant under direct supervision of the Registered Nurse aids in caring for the acutely ill or convalescing patient provides basic nursing care and assists in tasks requiring less technical skills. Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements. **Qualifications** **REQUIRED:** + Previous clinical experience as a Nursing Assistant/Home Health Aide Sufficient to maintain certification + Completion of orientation program by hospital Nursing Department + Home Health Aide certification required. + Current BLS through the American Heart Association required. + CA Driver's License + CA Auto Insurance **Overview** Mercy Medical Center Mt. Shasta is a member of the Dignity Health system of health care providers and is a not-for-profit medical facility.
