Group Event Coordinator Location United States :

Group Event Coordinator

DEPARTMENT: Group Sales

REPORTS TO: Sales Director

STATUS: Part Time

JOB SUMMARY:

The Group Sales Department at Riversport Foundation consists of the following event types: Group Passes, Birthday Parties, Company Picnics, Patio Parties, Marathons, Exclusive Park Buyouts and more! You will be able to gain valuable experience in:

  • Planning, organization & implementation of group outings

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Effectively understand and communicate RIVERSPORT sales programs and pass types
  • Assist in coordinating all sales information with park operations and other internal departments
  • Promote a synergistic relationship with team members in all departments and divisions
  • Work closely with guest relations, operations, food and beverage teams
  • On-site coordination of Group Events
  • Represent RiverportFoundation by displaying a positive attitude, high level of energy and commitment to quality throughout all aspects of the job
  • Learn and assist with some AV set up
  • Assist other departments when required and work major prescheduled National Events
  • Other duties as assigned

SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Graduate
  • 18 years or older
  • Attention to detail
  • Flexibility in day-to-day functions
  • Ability to direct large crowds
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to perform work independently
  • Must possess excellent organizational skills and be able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Must be a team player and must be able to communicate well with others
  • Must have a knowledge of MS Office Products including: Word and Excel
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and summer holidays
  • Interest in outdoor lifestyle, the Oklahoma River, Oklahoma City and the Riversport Foundation Mission.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to stand, stoop, crouch, twist, push, and lift for brief and/or extended periods of time
  • Must be able to walk comfortably throughout the course of the day over various surfaces
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions including exposure to direct sunlight.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, move, and/or position items weighing up to or in excess of 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to lift and lower 50 pounds
  • Must be able to lift and lower 25 pounds above shoulder level
