Job Description

We are seeking reliable and motivated Delivery Drivers to join our team. There are 2 types of positions we are looking to fill.

The 1st position is full time during the week, with some weekend availability required. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills and have experience with route driving and heavy lifting. This position requires a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency while on the road. We pay a  minimum of $180 a day, with a stop bonus once you hit 145 stops per day . Many days, you will make $180 or more a day . Drivers get paid every week.

The 2nd position is a seasonal position , beginning in Oct. and going through January. Peak season at Fed-Ex is an opportunity to earn considerably more than the usual $180 a day due to increased volume. Strong drivers will be considered for permanent positions if they are interested. Your training will be paid, and there will be part-time availability up until start of Peak (Thanksgiving), then full-time availability after that.

We are one of the most sought-after areas in the state, we service  Westfield  and are heavily residential. Our hub is in  Zionsville , so most drivers dispatch around 9:00am and are back by 3:30pm or so (sooner as you get faster). The average work day is about 6 hours.  One week paid time off offered after one year of employment, two weeks after two years. $250 Sign-On bonus after 1 month of employment!

Duties:

• Safely operate delivery vehicles, including manual transmission and commercial vehicles, to transport goods to designated locations.
• Load and unload products using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts, ensuring proper handling during transit.
• Follow established delivery routes while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients during deliveries.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation.
• Assist in warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and organization of products.
• Handle heavy lifting of packages and materials, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
• Familiarity with route driving and navigation systems.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
• Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the day.
• Experience operating pallet jacks, forklifts, or similar equipment is a plus.
• Previous warehouse experience is beneficial but not required.
• MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A DRUG SCREEN AND BACKGROUND CHECK.
