The Teacher Assistant supports the Lead Teacher in providing a caring and safe environment for the children. The Assistant Teacher is responsible for helping to manage the day-to-day activities of the classroom. The Assistant Teacher engages with the children to share the joy of learning through play.
Part Time and Per Diem positions available.
Duties - Build nurturing, loving relationships with children.
- Assist in the implementation of activities and encourage participation by children.
- Be present and attentive and actively engaged at all times.
- Provide positive guidance and encouragement.
- Follow all center policies and state regulations.
- Work together as a team so that all staff are supported to achieve their very best.
- Be open to sharing ideas and trying new things.
Requirements - At least 16 years of age
- High energy.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification within first 30 days of hire.
- Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.
Nice To Haves - Previous experience working with young children.
- Successful completion of course in child growth and development
- High School degree or equivalent
- Some ECE (Early Childhood Education) college credits
