We are seeking an experienced Data Modeler for a 4-6 month remote contract engagement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data architecture and modeling principles with hands-on expertise in designing and maintaining conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support enterprise-level data solutions.
Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support data integration, warehousing, and reporting initiatives.
Implement dimensional modeling techniques (e.g., star schema, snowflake schema) for analytical and BI use cases.
Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into robust data models.
Apply best practices in data normalization to ensure data integrity, consistency, and scalability.
Review and refine existing data models for optimization and alignment with current business needs.
Write and optimize SQL queries for data profiling, validation, and transformation support.
Ensure data models align with enterprise architecture and support data governance and quality initiatives.
Strong understanding of conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling
Deep knowledge of data warehouse design patterns and best practices
Expertise in dimensional modeling techniques (e.g., star schema)
Solid grasp of data normalization principles
Proficient in SQL for querying and data validation
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
