Description We are looking for a meticulous and organized Bookkeeper to handle essential financial tasks for a growing organization in Stamford, Connecticut. This long-term contract position offers part-time work with one dedicated day per week and flexible hours, making it ideal for professionals seeking a structured yet adaptable schedule. While the role begins on-site, remote work options may become available once processes are firmly established. Responsibilities: - Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities, ensuring accuracy and timely completion of financial records. - Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently. - Prepare and send invoices, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up. - Perform cash management duties, including monitoring balances and reconciling accounts. - Handle bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial reporting. - Oversee 1099 processing, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. - Utilize QuickBooks Online to complete accounting tasks and generate reports. - Collaborate with team members to establish and refine financial processes. - Maintain confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive financial information. Requirements - Proven experience in bookkeeping and financial management. - Proficiency in QuickBooks Online for accounting tasks and reporting. - Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. - Ability to perform accurate bank reconciliations and cash management. - Familiarity with 1099 processing and regulatory compliance. - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. - Capable of working independently with minimal supervision. - Commitment to maintaining confidentiality in handling financial data.
